The explanation of each was very helpful, I think each account requires commitment in different ways… i most like the idea of a bond so I am able to tuck it away.

Thanks for these tips. I am thinking about saving up a bit at a time for next holiday season because I really want to get a dog for my kids and that can be a bit of a money investment.

This is so funny because just yesterday my mother in law was talking about a Christmas Club but I had never heard of it before. I think the way she did it was a little different though. Thanks for the great post.

I’ve never thought about using a special account, with access blocked off until the holidays, just for Christmas! I think it seems like a great idea. I’m always so tempted to touch the money in my savings account, and sometimes I just can’t resist. This seems like an awesome way to have enough money for an awesome Christmas!

I did one for a couple of years and it was not worth it for me. It was a great way to save, but it ended in October and the money was gone by the time I wanted to start my xmas shopping.

I don’t use Christmas Club accounts. I just save for Christmas each week myself and buy gifts in sales throughout the year. Great to know these options are there though.
